Carpark

7 September 2018

Please be patient in the carpark, especially at peak times. We know that it can be frustrating to get in and out, but we need your support at all times. We have received comments that some people, particularly at pick-up time, are making unpleasant comments to others. This does not help to make the carpark less congested, nor does it set the right example for the girls who witness this. Thank you in anticipation of your support with this matter.

Introduction Day

24 August 2018

On Monday next week, we will hold our annual Introduction day. Girls in Year 6 who are progressing to Glennie Middle Years will spend the day on the Secondary campus, after first meeting in the Assembly Hall with their teachers.

Girls in Kindy will spend much of the morning in the Prep, and the current Prep students will spend the same time in Year 1. This will give them an opportunity to experience time with the teachers and their new environments. The Kindy girls will then be signed back into the Kindergarten by the Prep staff. Tours will be available for any parents requiring one. Further information is available from your child’s teacher or the Junior Years Reception.

Entry and Exit to front carpark

20 July 2018

Our front carpark has entry and exit signage to ensure the safety of all. We ask that parents respect this and do not enter via the exit gates. As well, please do not use the front driveway as a drop-off zone in the mornings. These are both dangerous practices as there are often children on this roadway, even out of hours. Thank you for your support with this.

Use of the track during the holidays

21 June 2018

I have been approached by a few parents who would like their girls to train on the track for athletics during the vacation. It is fine for this to occur for Glennie girls only, as long as you are there to supervise them. They cannot be left on their own, as we have no supervisors or coaches available over this break. Please check into the Main Admin office beforehand to inform them of your presence, in case you are approached by security staff.

Also, please be aware that other groups use the track for paid activities and they receive first priority.

Head of Junior Years
