Excellence awarded at Speech Day

30 November 2018

This year, The Glennie School students have risen to challenges and excelled in their academic, sporting, cultural, community and personal endeavours.  The annual Junior Years Awards Presentation Morning and Middle and Senior Years Speech Day and Prize-giving Celebration showcased students and their achievements in 2018.

In her address, Principal, Mrs Kim Cohen highlighted the powerful success stories of girls throughout the year and urged them all to stand tall and be proud, but also to look outwards and make a difference in the lives of others.

Celebrations included an address by Mrs Elizabeth Gillam, Chair of Council, and The Right Reverend Cameron Venables, Bishop of the Western Region gave the blessing. Guest speaker at the Middle and Senior Years celebration was Ms Melanie Hindman QC.  Melanie attended Glennie from 1989 – 1991 and now practises general commercial litigation with expertise in building and construction litigation.
