The Glennie School is a day and boarding Anglican school located in the regional centre of Toowoomba, approximately 90 minutes from Brisbane’s CBD.

Founded in 1908, Glennie provides a balanced education within a caring Christian environment to almost 800 girls (P to 12) and operates a co-educational Kindergarten.

As a community where tomorrow’s women learn, Glennie has a strong commitment to a broad range of initiatives. This is encapsulated in our school motto: All She Can Be® and in our Mission:

To provide girls with dynamic opportunities in education, training and personal growth which develop their potential and prepare them for life. We incorporate traditional values within a caring, Christian environment, together with the best contemporary teaching methods and learning experiences.

The Anglican traditions and ethos are central to our identity.

Glennie is a part of and Ministry of the Anglican Church Southern Queensland, and is owned and operated by the Corporation of the Synod of the Diocese of Brisbane

Glennie employs 300 full-time, part-time and casual staff, covering all school functions including academic, extracurricular, administration, boarding, support services and facilities

Toowoomba and its regional population is approximately 175,000 and projected to reach around 250,000 by 2036, making it one of Australia’s largest provincial cities and regions. Its dominant industries include education, medical services and agriculture.

The Diocesan Council and the School Council are undertaking one their most important functions: the appointment of a Principal to lead this school community with more than 110 years history of educating strong women.

We are seeking a visionary educational and spiritual leader who will continue to develop the School's learning, spiritual and wellbeing philosophy and culture.

The role requires high levels of commitment and extensive experience in strategic vision, educational leadership, operational management and the spiritual development of a school community.

The new Principal will work with a supportive Council that is proud of current achievements but ambitious for the school and for the students.

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to continue the development of The Glennie School as the school of choice for girls in regional, rural and remote Queensland and New South Wales.
