Secondary Mathematics and Science Teacher

Permanent, part-time or full-time position commencing Term 3, 2019

The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba, providing an exceptional education for prep, primary and secondary students with boarding from Year 6. The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs, care and support offered to students, as well as the commitment, dedication and professionalism of its staff.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, capable and dynamic Secondary Mathematics and Science teacher. It will be highly regarded if the successful candidate has the ability to teach Middle Years Science, Physics and for Mathematics B. This position is a permanent, part-time or full-time teaching position commencing Term 3 2019.

The successful applicant must be supportive of the ethos of Anglican Schools and must either be eligible for teacher registration or have registered with the Queensland College of Teachers.

Successful applicants are expected to contribute to the School extra-curricular program.

Cook - Permanent 

Permanent, part-time, term-time position

The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba, providing an exceptional education for prep, primary and secondary students with boarding from Year 6. The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs, care and support offered to students, as well as the commitment, dedication and professionalism of its staff.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic cook, who is well-organised, thrives in a team environment and will deliver excellent customer service. You will be focussed, have initiative and prepare meals to a high standard. With personal characteristics of energy, integrity, enthusiasm and reliability, you will have the ability to multi-task, enjoy learning new and varied duties and working in an environment that relies on a team approach.

The successful applicant will be part of a catering team that provides high-quality food services for both the boarding community and various functions held at the School. This position will focus primarily on the preparation and serving of food and related items.

The position is a permanent, part-time, term-time position for 40 hours per fortnight commencing 7 July 2019. Rostered shifts will include evening and weekend work.  Some additional hours may be required during school holidays when the School hosts residential camps. The successful applicant would preferably have experience in the preparation of bulk food.

The successful applicant must be supportive and sympathetic to the ethos of Anglican Schools and have a current Blue Card or their application in process.

Head of Department – Science

Full-time, 5-year contract - possible negotiable start date

The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba, providing exceptional education for prep, primary and secondary students with boarding from Year 6. The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs, care and support offered to students, as well as the commitment, dedication and professionalism of its staff.

We are seeking to appoint a capable and dynamic Head of Science who is a highly qualified, effective and experienced educator, with an intrinsic knowledge of secondary schooling philosophy and practice as it applies in a girls' school. 

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of the Science Department. This includes the responsibilities of being a Head of Department, working with Science teachers in the ongoing development of the curriculum and enhancing the interest and capability of girls in Science from Years 7 - 12. 

This is a full-time, 5-year contract position commencing as soon as possible after negotiation.

The successful applicant must be supportive of the ethos of Anglican Schools and must either be eligible for teacher registration or have registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
