On Friday, 23 October all Year 11 girls attended Emu Gully for a leadership camp designed to connect and build a sense of teamwork as we begin our senior year.
In the morning, we split into House groups and were put to the test with the many activities and challenges presented to us. Every activity had a story - a story about the ANZACs and the courage, mateship and perseverance they demonstrated and values that we can act upon as leaders of the school.
After lunch, we all came together to complete the final activity - a mud course that we had to make our way through with several blindfolded girls. It was amazing to see the teamwork of each and every girl as we had to help each other get up and over a steep slippery slope. There were smiles everywhere afterwards as we all appreciated the courage and joint effort put into the challenge.
Throughout the day it was great to see everyone stepping out of their comfort zones, encouraging others and having fun. We are all excited to take what we have learnt from this day and to bring it back to the Glennie community as we begin to step up as leaders.
