Year 7B Science completed a Water Filtration Challenge based on a task developed by Engineers Without Borders Australia. They were given a set amount of (play) money to spend on materials and substrates for their water filter. The less they spent the more points they retained. The water sample to be filtered was from the creek at the Water Bird Habitat. Judging was based on clarity, pH and smell. The Year 12 Science Ambassadors, Tori and Louise, ran the event and were judges. The winning filter was built by Cara Jones and Monica Guduru.
