We welcome back our boarders for 2019 and have enjoyed a pleasant commencement to our year.
The Boarding Committee has been busy planning their first themed dinner for Valentine's Day and have been helping out at the various activities that are on offer.
Our younger and new students have enjoyed being shown around by their "Big Sisters" and members of their family table. Students are also looking forward to a guest presentation from Prudence Melom from the Erased Organisation on Friday, 22 February. Our Year 12 students are going to attend Rosie's training and will be rostered on for Sunday Outreach in the coming months. Rosies is a community of people sharing the Oblate spirit of daring. Inspired by the Gospel, Rosies reaches out to those most abandoned, to be present with them, offering them experience of community and belonging.
Our younger students are busy with craft projects and a lovely gardening activity amongst many other opportunities to be involved and getting to know staff and other students.
Tomorrow we will be heading to Burleigh Heads for a Surf Education and Awareness experience and to enjoy a day of fun-filled team building activities.
So, all in all, we are off to a busy and happy start to the 2019 Glennie Boarding School experience. We encourage people to join our Glennie Boarding Families Facebook group to keep and eye out on all the action.
