We were so grateful to have been able to host this year's Mother-Daughter Breakfast, at the Clive Berghofer Atrium at Clifford Park Racecourse last week. The event was kindly hosted by Glennie mum, Mrs Sia Kowitzand her daughter, Ella.
Ella made a lovely welcome address, thanking all the mums and special guests for making the effort to attend.
Thank you to Jodi Cottier, Events Manager at Clifford Park, for looking after everyone with a delicious breakfast. Many thanks to Jodi's amazing staff for serving all our guests so efficiently.
Thank you to Performing Arts staff, Mrs Jayne Davidson, Mrs Vicki Bravery and Mrs Elizabeth Gordon, for organising the beautiful Glennie Singers to welcome our guests to this event. Thanks to all of them for getting up so early to make this very memorable for our special guests.
Bella Mott shared a peaceful Grace with us, and Claudia Simon made an emotional tribute to the mums.
Thank you to Mrs Tracey Kessels for taking the photographs of our guests, and printing them out as gifts for them to treasure.
Our new Principal, Ms Mary Anne Evans, gave a beautiful address to our guests. Mary Anne was joined for breakfast by Chair of School Council, Mrs Paddy Nicholls, and ten members of staff who also made a special effort to attend. We would like to say thank you to Ms Tonia Gloudemans, Mrs Donna Grant, Mrs Kaye Broadfoot, Mrs Susan Rollason, Mrs Cathy Waters, Mrs Sue Watts, Mrs Gayle Ash, Mrs Doreen Bermingham, Mrs Sue-Ann Fry and Mrs Maree Renouf.
Ella gave special mention to the extraordinary number of staff members who attended this event as mothers - Mrs Kate Harris, Mrs Paula Nicholls, Mrs Jaye Griffiths, Mrs Melissa Galvin, Mrs Libby Bellars, Mrs Natalie Leicht and Mrs Margie Lees.
Mrs Mika Gange, mother of Sandali in Year 11, assisted Mrs Kessels to ensure all mums and special guests had their photo taken with their daughter. Mika has kindly agreed to be our 2021 Mother-Daughter Breakfast host.
Thank you to Bec from Dawn Osborne Florist, for the stunning hydrangea table arrangements.
All the mums and special guests left the event with a beautiful long-stemmed single rose to remember the special occasion, thanks to Jenny from B&J Deane Roses at Cabarlah.
Special thanks to Mrs Bronnie Stiles in the Development Office for all her work in designing beautiful invitations and event cards, and to Mrs Tammy Wilson for her assistance with ticketing.
All staff at The Glennie School wish all senior girls of 2020 and their families a wonderful Christmas break following their week of special celebrations.
