The Glennie Equestrian Team competed at the Fairholme Interschool Equestrian qualifier on Saturday, 15 August and Sunday, 16 August at Pittsworth in Dressage and Showjumping.
Saturday greeted the riders with heavy rain until lunchtime, so as a result, some students opted to withdraw from the Dressage competition. Well done Lucy Stanford and Ellie Stenzel who managed to get their rides in. Ellie achieved a top-six placing in each of her Primary Preliminary and Novice tests including first and two 2nd places, while Lucy achieved a second placing in the Secondary Novice 2C.
Sunday, Lucy Stanford, Kate Bellars, Emily Wheatley, Georgia Wheatley, Keeleigh Wise, Mia Nolan and Scarlett Gordon all competed in two rounds of Showjumping. Scarlett rode in two different height classes, Primary 70cm and 80cm with her best results being two 2nd placings. In the secondary classes, Mia Nolan and Kate Bellars placed 1st and 4th and 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Secondary 70cm class. The other height classes were well represented by Glennie riders with Lucy Stanford gaining a 3rd place in 100cm, AM5 class. All other riders rode well and are preparing for the Scots/PGC qualifying event this weekend.
