A number of groups within the Glennie Environmental Club had their first working bees this week. On Wednesday afternoon there was a hive of activity around Cafe G and the Home Economics building, with the Garden Group outside, clearing gardens for the new food garden, SONDER inside cleaning used pens, pencils and folders, and the Fabric Upcyclers finishing off drawstring bags for the Year 7s to keep their (non-plastic) cutlery in for classes.
It was great to see the enthusiasm! Keep an eye on Notices - working bees will be advertised there, and newbies are always welcome. Not only a chance to help save the planet, but there was lots of laughing and fun as well!
