Thank you to all who supported this year’s Glennie Community Art Show - it was a great success!
The Glennie Old Girls’ Association (GOGA) committee instigated some big changes this year, including moving the Art Show to the Assembly Hall, and investing in some terrific new display boards thanks to the generosity of the P&F Association.
With these upgrades and a wonderful body of work to display, this year’s event was, without doubt, bigger and better than ever.
GOGA was so pleased to showcase such amazing art created by members of the Glennie community - guests had so many compliments on the diversity of quality work on display.
We were delighted with the sale of 15 percent of the entire exhibition and with knowing that some lovely pieces are going to be appreciated in new homes.
We thank Opening Night catering team Luxe Platters by Ash and bubbly partner Wearing Memories: Wine Merchants for coming on board. We had so much great feedback! Thanks also to Let’s Glow Toowoomba for the snazzy lighting.
We loved welcoming the Glennie Chamber Strings, Arts Captain Jess Rutledge and Kathy Lee (teacher and Glennie Old Girl) and Duncan from Wayward to play the smooth tunes. You were fabulous, thank you!
The generosity of our raffle supporters: Teresa's Easel, Laser Clinics Australia (Toowoomba Grand Central Shopping Centre), Mirror Mirror Makeup Artistry, i Cut & Co, Ivy Designer Collections, and The Event Group Toowoomba was very much appreciated and the prize winners feel very lucky.
We appreciated the talents of Jo Thieme Photography (Jo is a Glennie Mum and exhibited in the show) for capturing the opening night function so beautifully.
Thanks again to the Glennie teams including the Executive, P&F, PASA, GOSS, Art, Development Office, Performing Arts, Reception and Support Staff - we couldn’t have done it without you!
The next GOGA Art Show will be held in 2021.
