School Psychologist, full-time, term-time position, Term 1 2019

The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba, providing exceptional education for prep, primary and secondary students with boarding from Year 6. The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs, care and support offered to students, as well as the commitment, dedication and professionalism of its staff.

We are seeking to appoint a School Psychologist who provides professional counselling to students as part of the student support services offered within The Glennie School’s pastoral care system.

The successful applicant will provide professional expertise, leadership and support to the school community and networks in the development and implementation of plans, programs and procedures to assist students in achieving positive educational, developmental and lifelong learning outcomes.

This is a permanent full-time, term-time position, 37 weeks per year, commencing Term 1, 2019.

The successful applicant must be supportive of the ethos of Anglican Schools and must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health field and must have a professional registration as a Psychologist.

Junior Boarding Resident, part-time, term-time position – Term 1 2019

The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba, providing exceptional education for prep, primary and secondary students with boarding from Year 6. The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs, care and support offered to students, as well as the commitment, dedication and professionalism of its staff.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, capable, responsible person who will enjoy making a positive difference to the boarding lives of Glennie girls. As a member of the Glennie boarding community you will play an important role in creating a positive, supportive and welcoming culture which encourages full participation in the academic and extracurricular programs within the School.

This is a part-time, term-time position commencing Term 1 2019.

You will live in a Boarding House where accommodation is comfortable and self-contained. The position involves 12 hours per week boarding duty, recreational support and homework assistance in exchange for board and lodging. Possible extra hours, in addition to the minimum 12 hours per week, will be paid for at the current part-time rate of $23 per hour. The work is out of school hours with some weekend shifts and would suit a university student.

A current First Aid qualification will be highly regarded and the successful applicant will be expected to undertake Duty of Care training.

The successful applicant must be supportive and sympathetic to the ethos of Anglican Schools and must either have a current Blue Card or have their application in process.

Boarding House Supervisor (non-residential), full-time and part-time, term-time position

The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba, providing exceptional education for prep, primary and secondary students with boarding from Year 6. The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs, care and support offered to students, as well as the commitment, dedication and professionalism of its staff.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, capable, responsible person who will enjoy making a positive difference to the boarding lives for Glennie girls in the nurturing environment of the Glennie School’s Boarding Houses. As a member of the Glennie boarding community you will play an important role in creating a positive, supportive and welcoming culture which encourages full participation in the academic and extracurricular programs within the School.

Our boarding house is truly a home away from home and the Boarding House Supervisor needs to ensure that, as in any home, the girls are cared for and supported in all aspects of their lives with a kind, guiding, and firm hand as they strive to be all they can be.

The School is looking for a full-time and a part-time Boarding House Supervisor (non-residential) commencing Term 1 2019. Both positions incorporate evening work and some weekend work including an overnight.
