Athletics Coach, part-time, term-time permanent position – immediate start

The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba, providing exceptional education for prep, primary and secondary students with boarding from Year 6. The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs, care and support offered to students, as well as the commitment, dedication and professionalism of its staff.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, capable and suitably qualified person who will enjoy developing the athletic abilities of Glennie girls, with a particular focus on the Junior Years. As a member of the Glennie sporting community the successful applicant will play an important role in creating a positive, supportive and welcoming culture which encourages students to develop their abilities across the full range of Track and Field disciplines.

This is a part-time, term-time position commencing as soon as possible. The current hourly pay is $25.23, and Superannuation is also entitled at either 9.5% or 12.75% depending on employee contribution.

You will work a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 10 hours a week, however, attendance at School carnivals and other sporting events is also expected.

A current first aid qualification will be highly regarded and an Intermediate Club Coach qualification or higher is expected. Experience in coaching students of primary school age is highly desirable.

The successful applicant must be supportive and sympathetic to the ethos of Anglican Schools and either have a current Blue Card or their application in process.

Junior Boarding Resident, part-time, term-time position – immediate start

The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba, providing exceptional education for prep, primary and secondary students with boarding from Year 6. The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs, care and support offered to students, as well as the commitment, dedication and professionalism of its staff.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, capable, responsible person who will enjoy making a positive difference to the boarding lives of Glennie girls in Dowson House, which is a residence for Year 9 – 11 students. As a member of the Glennie boarding community you will play an important role in creating a positive, supportive and welcoming culture which encourages full participation in the academic and extracurricular programs within the School.

This is a part-time, term-time position commencing as soon as possible. You will live in Dowson House where accommodation is motel style. The position involves 12 hours per week boarding duty, recreational support and homework assistance in exchange for board and lodging. Possible extra hours, in addition to the minimum 12 hours per week, will be paid for at the current part-time rate of $23 per hour. The work is out of school hours with some weekend shifts and would suit a university student.

A current First Aid qualification will be highly regarded and the successful applicant will be expected to undertake Duty of Care training.

Junior Years – Tuckshop and Café Convenor, part-time, contract position

The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba, providing exceptional education for prep, primary and secondary students with boarding from Year 6. The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs, care and support offered to students, as well as the commitment, dedication, and professionalism of its staff.

We are seeking to appoint a convenor to run our Glennie Tuckshop and Café.

The Junior Years Tuckshop Convenor at The Glennie School coordinates with support the running and administration of the Glennie Junior Years Tuckshop and Café and the allocation of rosters and duties to the volunteers. The position requires a client centred approach in offering a café/catering experience to the school community.

This position is a part-time, extended term-time position commencing as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the school year for 15 hours per week. The current part-time hourly pay rate is $26.22 plus entitlements.

Information Technology Assistant, full-time, permanent position – immediate start

The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba, providing exceptional education for prep, primary and secondary students with boarding from Year 6. The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs, care and support offered to students, as well as the commitment, dedication and professionalism of its staff.

We are seeking to appoint a capable and dynamic Information Technology Assistant who demonstrates a strong customer focus, offering helpful, friendly and approachable service and has a natural motivation to keep abreast of technological changes.

The Information Technology Assistant will provide high-quality assistance to the students, parents and staff to support the School’s notebook computer program and IT helpdesk. The successful applicant will possess intermediate computing, organisation and problem-solving skills and prior office management experience would be highly regarded.

You will work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team and maintain systems and procedures and establish task priorities to meet deadlines and commitments.
