Secondary Head of Department – Mathematics, full-time position, Term 1 2019

The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba, providing exceptional education for prep, primary and secondary students with boarding from Year 6. The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs, care and support offered to students, as well as the commitment, dedication and professionalism of its staff.

We are seeking to appoint a capable and dynamic Head of Mathematics who is a highly qualified, effective and experienced educator, with an intrinsic knowledge of secondary schooling philosophy and practice as it applies in a girls' school.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of the Mathematics Department. This includes the responsibilities of being a Head of Department, working with Mathematics teachers in the ongoing development of the curriculum and enhancing the interest and capability of girls in Mathematics from Years 7 - 12.

This is a full-time, 5-year contract position commencing Term 1, 2019.

The successful applicant must be supportive of the ethos of Anglican Schools and must either be eligible for teacher registration or have registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.

Successful applicants are expected to contribute to the School extra-curricular program.

Academic Administration Officer full-time, term-time position, Term 1, 2019

The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba, providing exceptional education for prep, primary and secondary students with boarding from Year 6. The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs, care and support offered to students, as well as the commitment, dedication and professionalism of its staff.

We are seeking to appoint a capable and dynamic Academic Administration Officer who has a strong customer focus, offering helpful, friendly and approachable service.

The Academic Administration Officer will provide high quality administrative assistance to the students, parents and staff in terms of advanced computing and office management, and effective secretarial support through the use of problem-solving and organisational skills.

You will work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team and maintain systems and procedures and establish task priorities to meet deadlines and commitments.

This is a permanent, full-time, term-time position commencing Term 1, 2019 with handover time to be negotiated at the end of the school year. Additional days will be required during school holiday periods for up to five weeks in a school year as directed.

The successful applicant must be supportive of the ethos of Anglican Schools and have a current Blue Card or their application in process.

Sound knowledge of Google apps and Microsoft Office applications will be highly regarded.
