A Message from the Head of Junior Years

22 April 2016

Today, we commemorated ANZAC Day with three separate services of remembrance: Junior, Middle and Senior, each conducted by Glennie’s Chaplain, Reverend Kate Powell. The theme for this year’s commemorations was the Battle of the Somme, which took place in northern France. 2016 marks the centenary of the battle, where over 1,000,000 soldiers from all sides were killed or wounded.

Our services also acknowledged the many men and women who serve today across the world in peacekeeping and support missions. We pray for them all, that they may return home safely at the end of their tours of duty.

We remember all Australians who lost their lives in the many conflicts across the world in the pursuit of freedom. Lest We Forget.
