Head Lights

wasAt a time when we see sadness and we despair about the tragedy, violence and intolerance of events around the world, it is pleasing to see the balance of hope, inspiration and joy of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, bringing together thousands of athletes from seventy-one countries to compete in the “friendly games”.The Commonwealth’s two billion people make up 30% of the world’s population and are of many faiths, races, languages, cultures and traditions yet they are united in the commonality of sport and friendly competition. May its values of HUMANITY - EQUALITY - DESTINY help to inspire and unite millions of people, not only within the Commonwealth, but throughout the world.

Mr Steve Warren
Head of Junior Years

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is discord, harmony;
Where there is error, truth;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.

Prayer of St Francis
