Head Lights

wac-2Today I spoke at Senior Assembly about terrorism, following news of the appalling destruction of the Malaysian airliner this morning. I had previously planned to speak about the abduction of Nigerian schoolgirls and the extraordinary young woman, Malala Yousoufzai, currently trying to help. Malala herself was targeted by terrorists in Pakistan two years ago, and almost killed. Malala’s encouragement to the world to speak up against evil is inspiring: your voice is your weapon, she says. Thanks to social media, millions of ordinary people now have a voice they did not have before. May we use ours wisely and well.
