The Glennie School, Toowoomba

Welcome, From the Principal

I have the privilege of being the Principal at Glennie, and it is an absolute joy to be part of one of Queensland’s leading Anglican girls’ schools and to play a role in shaping the lives of the girls and young women educated here.

Welcome to The Glennie School — where every girl is empowered to be All She Can Be.

Since 1908, Glennie has inspired generations of girls to discover their strengths, embrace their potential, and grow into confident, capable young women, ready to shape the world with purpose and compassion.

For more than 115 years, our school has been a community where tradition, Anglican values, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning have come together. I am proud of our legacy as the leading girls’ school in regional Queensland, where every girl is encouraged to engage deeply in her learning and to lead with character, curiosity and grace.

At Glennie, education is holistic and purposeful. It stretches the mind through robust academic inquiry, opens the heart through meaningful relationships, service and reflection, and calls the hands to be creative, practical and principled action. Grounded in our Anglican foundation, we uphold values of courage, respect, integrity, and compassion. These are not just ideals; they are lived daily, shaping the culture of our school and the character of our graduates.

Our boarding community is at the heart of Glennie. Living, learning and growing together, our boarders foster a culture of empathy, independence, contribution and resilience. These qualities resonate across our whole community, from Kindy to Junior Years and through to the Senior Years, creating an environment where every girl feels a sense of belonging, purpose and possibility.

I warmly invite you to explore The Glennie School, meet our students and families, and discover how our dedicated community empowers each girl to become All She Can Be.
