Delivering an extensive choice of learning pathways and flexible study options, the Glennie Senior Years program is designed to prepare and motivate your daughter as she moves onto this next exciting stage of her life journey.
Our innovative three-year Senior curriculum offers a personalised approach to learning, immersing your daughter in relevant and engaging real-world learning experiences that place her in the best position to reach her full potential.
To ensure our students are well supported in the transition to the new Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), Glennie has developed an innovative new Senior curriculum that provides flexible and supportive study options to prepare your daughter for life beyond the classroom.
Through the implementation of a three-year senior program and a flexible learning approach, your daughter will have the opportunity to accelerate her senior studies in some subjects and achieve early completion or undertake extended completion based on her individual needs.
The Senior Years curriculum offers a diverse selection of study areas, resources and support structures, presenting your daughter with extensive opportunities to enrich her learning experience and unearth her goals and future aspirations.
Delivering a curriculum designed to challenge her thinking, the Glennie Senior Years program will assist your daughter to develop into a capable and confident young woman of strength and integrity – optimistic, self-aware and adaptable, with a strong sense of compassion and social justice.

As a graduate of the Glennie Middle Years MindFit® program, your daughter will have learned the skills to cope with the changes of her early teenage years. In the Senior Years, the focus of wellbeing shifts to preparing these young women for life beyond school.
Through our carefully developed Senior Years wellbeing program, your daughter will be provided with the opportunity to develop independence and practical life skills such as:
We recognise that every Glennie girl will make a different choice for her future; your daughter may already have a clear career plan, or she may still be exploring her options. As no two pathways are the same, we focus on providing each Glennie Senior with individual guidance to ensure she is pursuing the study pathway that places her in the best position to achieve her post-school goals.
The Glennie School’s dedicated careers and vocational education and training staff are available to assist your daughter with exploring future career options, as well as helping with subject selection and opportunities for work experience and school-based vocational education and training (VET).
While the focus at Glennie during the Senior Years is to concentrate on delivering a curriculum that will best prepare your daughter for her future, it is important for her to participate in extra-curricular activities which help her to further develop essential skills such as teamwork, communication, organisation, and responsibility.
At Glennie, we offer a rich and diverse range of extra-curricular activities where your daughter can explore and develop her unique interests and talents in the areas of sport, the arts, leadership, and citizenship. Our Senior girls are also presented with opportunities to take on leadership roles and extension programs within the extra-curricular program.
