The girls have been busy preparing their personal items for their return home for holidays. On Wednesday, we honoured Mrs Lovell’s time at Glennie with a Farewell Afternoon tea. Mrs Shaz Willmington left no stone unturned to ensure this event was befitting the huge contribution Val has made to the boarding lives of students and her colleagues. Current and past boarding families and Glennie staff gathered with the guest of honour in the Senior courtyard to convey their best wishes for Val’s retirement. The Dining Hall staff prepared delicious treats for all to enjoy and speeches were delivered by Mrs Cohen, Dr Sian Ford (School doctor), Mrs Gaylene Stanford (Boarder parent), Miss Erin Geddes (Boarder Captain 2019) and Miss Chris Putland (Acting Senior Resident Brown House). A stunning array of roses and gifts were presented to Val as a token of the School and boarding community’s appreciation.
