The boarders had their annual Alphabet Dinner this week where each family table dressed up as a character with a letter provided for each particular table. As usual, there were some very inventive costumes. There is a serious side to the dinner as we took a collection for Ribbon Day in aid of cancer research.
The younger boarders enjoyed mini putt-putt, ten pin bowling and an in-house movie night. As the Year 7 boarders missed out on the recent Fairholme social, Mrs Reynoldson will take them and the Year 8 girls to a junior social at Downlands on Friday evening.
We held the monthly Birthday Tuesday for July this week. Boarding Captain Lucy Geddes and Vice Captain Bella Joseland dressed as a pair of rappers complete with backwards caps and sunglasses. They performed an original rap song and dance for the July birthday girls. It was very funny and quite special.
Senior Resident of Brown House Mrs Gill Reynoldson will attend the Federal ICPA conference in Alice Springs next week. She is looking forward to connecting with any Glennie boarder parents who may be attending.
