What qualifications do you hold?
Bachelor of Education
Which other subject areas are you interested in?
Why are you passionate about girls education?
Educated and strong women are an essential part of building stronger economies, families and communities. Ensuring girls meet their full potential without barriers is essential. Women have a unique passion and strength and ensuring our Glennie girls leave here being the best they can be is really important to me.
What sets Glennie apart from the other schools?
The care and understanding we have for our students. Teachers go to extraordinary levels to meet the needs of students and ensure those students know their worth. It is a school that embraces all students and celebrates diversity.
What is something others may not know about you?
I am studying a counselling degree and I love all things outdoors, particularly mountain biking and stand up paddleboarding.
What excites you about teaching?
The speed that it moves at and how young people adapt to change so easily.
What do you think the future of teaching looks like?
I think it will be more diverse than it has been and a greater appreciation for non-stereotypical job placement will exist. It's difficult to know when we don't know what jobs will exist.
What are your professional achievements and roles?
Appointed as a Principal in an Education Queensland school in my third year of teaching
Mentor within the Emerging Innovators Program
