Why are you passionate about girls education?
Being a female and having daughters of my own, I am passionate about girls having the skills and abilities to achieve whatever it is they set their mind to.
What sets Glennie apart from the other schools?
The opportunities that exist for Glennie girls are varied and work to support them on their chosen career paths. The friendship and camaraderie between the girls is beautiful to see in action and I know that the girls here feel valued, seen and supported.
What is something others may not know about you?
In a previous life, I was a hairdresser. Another creative passion of mine - I completed my trade certificate when I first left school. I like to reassure girls that there are many pathways to their ideal career.
What excites you about teaching?
The fact that a small comment or interaction can change a girl's day and even their life. I value the rapport I build with girls.
What do you think the future of teaching looks like?
The future of teaching is changing, and following the health crisis of COVID-19, I think modes of delivery and geographical location of teachers and students will become more flexible and innovative, allowing students to work at different hours of the day depending on their personal circumstances.

I am the school's Educational Consultant for Seqta
