What excites you about teaching?
I love going to school and seeing each day both students and staff. Teaching gives me a lot of pleasure; the interactions with students are fantastic, witnessing the students' progress is rewarding, the teamwork in the French Immersion Program, the development of activities to promote languages, the organisation and conduction of the French tour, all these make teaching fun, interesting and exciting.
What do you think the future of teaching looks like?
The teaching profession has evolved a lot in the last decades. Teachers are not the 'people who know and transmit the knowledge' anymore. Nowadays, they are rather guides who work hand in hand with students so they develop their knowledge and skills. As far as languages are concerned, with the progress of neurosciences and a more and more global world, I'm hopeful that more and more students pursue studies including a foreign language.
