Glennie Performs at Festival

17 Junior Years girls from Years 4, 5 and 6 braved the blustery and very chilly conditions to perform on stage at the Toowoomba Languages and Cultures Festival. The girls sang numerous fun French action songs and then later enjoyed the delights on offer at the festival including the delicious crêpes prepared by the Glennie French Immersion Supporters Group.

Ms Janene Mills
Junior and Middle and Senior Years Teacher

Bonjour, bonjour,

Alors, bravo! Bravo aux 5 èmes Annie Eather, Stephanie Fernando et Mashal Imam. Bravo aux 4 èmes Holly Beaton, Sophie Bridger, Mia Brown, Sally Byrne, Sophie Fleming, Rebecca George, Jessica Irwin, Gabby Prosser et Amelia Tranter. Et enfin, bravo aux 3 èmes Emma Anderson, Tanvi Chand, Bethany Crowe, Zoe Dann, Antonina Foley, Prisha Gupte, Mikayla Karl-Russell, Linda Mai, Lily McEvoy, Arianne Oliveros, Sarah Park, Felicity Pringle and Isabella Shelton.

A très bientôt.

Monsieur Morère

Dear all,

A big well done and congratulations! This is what Years 7, 8, and 9 students who learn French at Glennie deserve.

Last Sunday, 25 courageous girls faced the elements and recited poems or sang songs in French in Queens Park at the Toowoomba Languages and Cultures Festival.

It was sunny but cold. The worst was the wind! Despite these Dantesque circumstances, our students took up the challenge and honoured our school and, as a teacher, I happily admit that I am really proud of each one of them.

So, well done! Well done to Year 7 students Annie Eather, Stephanie Fernando, and Mashal Imam. Well done to Year 8 students Holly Beaton, Sophie Bridger, Mia Brown, Sally Byrne, Sophie Fleming, Rebecca George, Jessica Irwin, Gabby Prosser, and Amelia Tranter. And finally, well done to Year 9 students Emma Anderson, Tanvi Chand, Bethany Crowe, Zoe Dann, Antonina Foley, Prisha Gupte, Mikayla Karl-Russell, Linda Mai, Lily McEvoy, Arianne Oliveros, Sarah Park, Felicity Pringle, and Isabella Shelton.

See you soon.
