On Tuesday, 6 August, the Year 5s travelled to Grammar Junior for a morning of Science fun with the Grammar boys and Fairholme girls. The girls examined their fingerprints in Forensic Science, conducted food-related experiments, created and tested catapults, experimented with static electricity and many other scientific activities. Here are some reflections from the morning:
I enjoyed watching the Elephant Toothpaste. It went about 50cm up in the air, and we got to choose our own colours for the Elephant Toothpaste.
Science morning was fun because we got to meet new people from other schools. The activities that the teachers planned were fun. We put food colouring in milk, and then some detergent on there. The detergent made it mix and it was really pretty. I also enjoyed making catapults. It was fun to build things and work as a team and then test our creations.
