Webber House Report Term 2 2021

Webber House has clung to its theme of ‘grapes’, ‘bunches’ and ‘support vines’ through our House activities both in and out of school this term. Our Captains, Tiggy Ladner and Aimee Freund, along with the wonderful Webber Senior Committee have provided our Webber girls with fun activities to build connections within their ‘grape bunches’. These grape bunches contain Webber girls from all year levels, each led by two or three Year 12 Webber girls and provide a lovely opportunity for girls to form connections and ‘strengthen the vine’ across all ages. This term, activities have ranged from a garbage bag fashion parade, treasure hunt, war cry practice and of course our Annual Interhouse Athletics carnival.

House Time each fortnight is prepared and led by Tiggy and Aimee and our senior committee. The girls have risen to the task of preparing ahead for our fortnightly meetings and engaging with the girls through their warmth and friendliness, not to mention the occasional sweet treat thrown in every now and then.

Our Year 11 and 12 Webber girls, along with most of our Webber Tutors, also enjoyed a night out for dinner on Thursday, 20 May at Fitzy’s. This was a lovely occasion where girls enjoyed interacting with each other and enjoying a delicious meal together in a relaxed setting. The night was finished with the obligatory ice cream at Gelatissimo.

Our only Interhouse activity this term is Athletics. It is always heartening to see our Webber girls stepping up and jumping, running, throwing and leaping for their House - a lovely note to finish a busy term on.

In Term 3, we look forward to many more enjoyable House Times together as well as our final Interhouse Event with Ball Games on the last day of the term.

I wish every Webber girl and their families a safe and relaxing winter break.
