Update On Sport

Sport is still a conversation that is evolving every day. We are being guided by the QLD government roadmap to easing restrictions, but currently we have limited sports that we can participate in.

Training:  Currently the only training we have operational is Athletics training - track, throws and jumps (no high jump) - where Rod and Ireland are able to socially distance the girls and keep them safe while training. Other sports will start in Term 3 once we are more aware of where we may be heading in individual sports competitions.

Interhouse Athletics:  The Interhouse Athletics Carnival is being postponed from Week 9 this term to Monday, 31 August 2020 (Week 8, Term 3). Please note, this is a tentative date and subject to the Queensland Government's roadmap to easing restrictions. A carnival will only be possible when the Government increases the maximum number of people permitted to gather from the limit of 100 due to be implemented in Stage 3, effective from Friday, 10 July.

Club Sport:  Most clubs are still trying to figure out what/how they can safely run their sport within the parameters that the government has given. Once we know more we will pass the information onto you all.
