The Environmental Club has started their sewing adventures. The group meets alternately on Monday or Tuesday afternoons in the Textile room. In Week 1 we worked on puppy beds - old shirts, sewn into beds and filled with the scraps of sewing and knitting from the Home Economics classes.
In the second session (this week, Tuesday afternoon) the girls formed an assembly line to create carry bags from upcycled fabrics - the first ones will be from curtain remnants and samples which would normally have ended up in a landfill. The first bags will be ready for purchase next week - email Mrs Johns firstname.lastname@example.org if you're interested in being the first purchaser!
