Universities Come To Glennie

How fortunate our students are to have universities come to them. On Tuesday, the annual University Showcase visited Glennie, giving the Year 12 girls the opportunity to talk to representatives from a range of different tertiary institutions, including Australian Catholic University, Bond University, Griffith University, James Cook University, Queensland University of Technology, University of Southern Queensland - Australia, Southern Cross University, The University of Queensland, University of New England and University of the Sunshine Coast.

The girls walked away with their arms full of possibilities and much night time reading outlining the many different study options available for next year and beyond. At this stage of their career exploration, I encourage the girls to start to explore the course options in more depth. During career classes at school, we will spend time looking closely at course outlines and exploring options so the girls can make sure they are well informed when deciding on their preferences.

In Term 3, I will meet with all of the Year 12 girls individually to support them in making their career plans happen. However, girls and parents are always welcome to make a time to meet with me before then to talk about ideas and options. If you would like to meet with me, please email me on curries@glennie.qld.edu.au.
