For Tufnell, Term 2 was as busy as ever with our annual House Dinner as one of our major functions for the year. 160 Tufnell enthusiasts showed up for an action-packed "Cowgirl Disco" at the Aberfeldy Farm and Barn, in near-freezing conditions! A fantastic night was had by all and it was very much a team effort, with a particular special mention going to Mrs Lindy Douglas for all of her assistance in the lead up to the night.
There was no "lull" in Term 2 for Tufnell as we practiced, performed, auditioned and worked hard.
We farewelled Tufnell's very own Ms Tonia Gloudemans in style and wished her all the very best for the exciting endeavours that lay ahead. We also helped Mrs Baker celebrate National Ladybug Day and painted the town red as the colouring competition entries rolled in.
The Tufnell Committee was as dedicated as ever in bringing the House together on as many occasions as possible. As this Tufnell Committee heads into the last term of leading the House, I am sure there will be more action-packed fun ahead.
Our performance at the Interhouse Athletics Carnival on the last day of term was sensational. Fatigue and sickness could not stop us from claiming a very credible second place. Our participation levels were commendable and as we managed to fill nearly every single race. The performances in the year level relays were particularly impressive with two wins and two-second places at the end of a very long day. There were so many noteworthy personal performances, and a couple of broken records, so well done to all of you!
I am looking forward to what Term 3 holds, but until then, I wish all of our tired little dragons and their families a very restful holiday and look forward to seeing you all back in three weeks!
Bring on Term 3!!!
