Too Much Ukulele Is Never Enough

Middle and Senior Years Director of Performance, Mrs Davidson, has a new addition in her Music classroom in the Performing Arts Centre and she couldn’t be prouder! She now has 23 Ukuleles mounted on her wall. Mrs Davidson is always looking for avenues to advance the musicality of her students and it turns out that learning to play Ukulele in Years 7 and 8 Music is the answer.

The Glennie Performing Arts Supporters Association (PASA) purchased six Ukuleles in 2019. These were quite the hit with the students. The decision was made for The Arts Department to purchase another 17 this year allowing for this very colourful installation at the front of her room.

The Year 7 girls are very excited by the prospect of “getting their hands” on these instruments and learning to play this very accessible instrument. The only decision left is choosing which colour you would like to play!
