Term 2 has reached the halfway point and looking back over the first half of the term it is hard to believe how much has been achieved. Girls have been involved in many and various activities with such great success. You will notice in this episode of the Boarder's Buzz, photos from the School Musical, the Alphabet Dinner, Equestrian events, Golden Glove, Rosies, activities and enrichment, Parkrun, Yoga, Board games night, First Aid, Walk against Domestic Violence, National Boarding Week, Kloud9 and the Anzac Day Dawn Service. On all occasions, it has been an absolute pleasure to see the girls conduct themselves with enthusiasm and pride.
A vote of thanks must be extended to our kitchen staff for looking after us with such lovely meals on some of these colder days. The girls enjoy a hot breakfast option Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while enjoying porridge and hot chocolate every Tuesday and Thursday. We love soup, baked potatoes and other warm options for lunch three times a week. Fresh fruit is always available in the refrigerators and the girls will also have baskets of fresh fruit in their dormitories. Receptions in each of the Houses have a large tin of Milo and the girls are welcome to pop down with their cups for a serving to make their drinks.
We are also very excited to now have several new toasters available for freshly cooked toast in the morning. The girls are very happy with this.
This week permission notes were sent out for our Southbank Markets and Football excursion. These will need to be signed and returned by Monday. Parents only received these if their daughters signed up for the excursion.
Tutoring is continuing and from this time until the end of the term is usually busy with assessment deadlines and managing study timetables. If you have concerns please feel free to ring me and I can check in with your daughter to see how she in managing this. We can often provide support for this. A Team Tuition have settled into a good routine and appear to be supporting students well.
Thanks for all the positive feedback we've had about the Boarder's Buzz. We enjoy being able to share this newsletter with our community and try to fill it with photos to keep readers engaged. The countdown to end of Semester One is on and we look forward to sharing more success stories in our next edition.
Peace and Best Wishes
