Our weeks are going by quickly and we are now settling into a routine of academic and extra-curricular activities. Students are now working on assignments and preparing for other assessments and are using their Prep time wisely to manage these. If your daughter is having difficulty with assignments please encourage her to talk to staff so they can make arrangements for assistance. We have qualified teachers and tutors across a breadth of curriculum areas who are available to help.
This Friday evening we have guest speaker Prudence Melom coming to speak to our community about her journey to advocacy. Prudence is a law student who also runs a not for profit organisation and was awarded "Young Citizen of the Year" in Toowoomba last year for her work. Prudence is an engaging young woman who will encourage the girls to find their voice and set big goals.
Last week, five of our students attended Rosie's Outreach and were an exceptional representation of our student body and the theme "Be the Reason". The students were the reason that patrons enjoyed a hamburger, had a friendly conversation and had some fun. We look forward to more girls being part of this program. Special thanks to Mrs Gayle Ash who provided delicious home-baked goodies for the patrons.
