Term 4 in boarding commenced with our Parent Appreciation drinks to say thanks to the families that support students who are living away from home. This support comes in the form of helping with transport, hosting a boarder and sometimes just checking in to see how the students are doing. We appreciate the kindness and hospitality that is extended to our boarders and look forward to making this an annual event.
Our enrichment program this term is full to the brim with outings and activities. Last weekend, students had a trip to Max Brenner and enjoyed watching "Ride Like a Girl" at the cinema. The focus for the enrichment program this term is engagement and socialisation across ages. The final weekend for the term is a closed weekend and we have planned a trip to Movie World and Harbour Town. We have also invited boarders from Toowoomba Grammar School and Fairholme College to attend a boarder break up event. We are looking forward to hosting these students for a BBQ, games and a swim.
Term 4 will also have a very strong focus on academic rigour and we are offering all students the opportunity to attend tutoring on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in the dining room from 7:15pm. Please contact boarding house staff if you are interested in your daughter attending.
