And it’s a third victory in a row for the Year 9 Debating team!
On Wednesday evening, the Year 9 team won their third debate against Toowoomba Grammar School! It was a short preparation debate where the girls did not know the topic they would be discussing until they arrived and had only an hour to prepare their arguments. It is a very difficult exercise but the girls spoke brilliantly. They argued the topic that camps are not a waste of time.
To see the girls taking their commitment to debating so seriously is always very impressive. They come to every single meeting and always give their best. No matter how busy they are with school work and other extracurricular activities, they will never miss a Tuesday meeting. To display such dedication at this age is remarkable and will only ensure more success in the future.
Congratulations to Eman Shahbaz, Stephanie Fernando, Amy Forknall, Felicity Belesky and Isabelle Prewett! I am proud of you beyond words!
