National And State Music Achievements

Over the holiday break a group of Glennie girls were busy rehearsing and performing with the Australian Honours Ensemble Program and the Queensland State Honours Ensemble Program. 

Congratulations to Gabrielle Kleidon and Emily Lawrence for their acceptance and performances with the Australian Honours Concert Band. This is an outstanding achievement to be accepted into a national level ensemble. Well done girls.

Dulini Dewage, Felicity Russell, andCeline Dixon were accepted and performed in the State Honours Ensemble on voice (Colin Brumby Vocal Ensemble).

Hannah Waterfall (French Horn) performed Principal Horn in the Queensland State Honours Ensemble (Peter Sculthorpe Symphony Orchestra).

Lauren Lester (clarinet), Kate Healy (clarinet) and Kartia Chin (tenor saxophone) were accepted and performed in the Queensland State Honours Concert Band (Brian Hogg Concert Band).

Amelia Tranter (violin) was accepted and performed in the Sir Charles MacKerras String Orchestra at the Queensland State Honours Ensemble Program.
