Music Camp 2020 will be held at Alexandra Headlands from Friday 14 to Sunday, 16 February.
Our 2019 camp included approximately 150 girls from Years 3 to 12. Music Camp is a fantastic opportunity to spend the weekend rehearsing and making new friends across all year levels and for girls to feel as though they are part of a wider school extra-curricular group.
For girls wishing to be involved in the Performing Arts but are not sure which group to join, our advice is to simply just join a choir to start with. Current research indicates that choral singing improves our mood, decreases stress, depression and anxiety levels. It is thought that the deeper breathing taught and practiced in choir rehearsals and generally associated with singing, and also used in meditation, is responsible for these positive side effects of choral singing. These benefits are enhanced in group singing, rather than singing alone.

Be sure to complete the camp form in the ‘Performing Arts Forms’ which will be emailed out to you later this term. This link will also be available on the Arts Portal page.
