On Thursday, 18 February, Year 7 and Year 8 French Immersion girls gathered in the French classroom at morning recess. The idea was to provide an opportunity for our newest students to meet others who have been through the first year of the Program, not so long ago.
Thank you Louise Anderson, Rosie Can, Matilda Cosgrave, Bailey Crisp, Alison Danckwerts, Holly Donaldson, Stella Eames, Ava Fitzpatrick, Felicity Goldthorpe, Vijetha Gowda, Bonnie Ladner, Amy Leis, Kate Leis, Macy Martyr, Eloise McLoughlin, Kate Roper, Lara Shephard and Sarcha Webb for sharing your experience and answering the Year 7 group questions.
We have had a great time! Clémence and I certainly enjoyed the delicious homemade cakes. We will try to host this friendly gathering each term.

On Thursday, the Year 8 French Immersion students gathered with the Year 7 French Immersion students in Monsieur Morère’s classroom to share some homemade goodies, tips and tricks to assist their transition into the French Immersion Program.
We offered our knowledge of the unique program and answered any questions Year 7 students might have had about their experience so far, as well as any general questions.
It was a fun session enjoyed by everyone and was a fantastic opportunity to establish friendships through French!

The meet and greet was just so helpful and enjoyable for us in Year 7. It gave us a chance to ask any itching questions and come together as one big family. We shared a delicious morning tea, and it was so relaxed and a lot of fun. French Immersion is a wonderful opportunity, and it was so cool to be in a room full of people who embraced the Program to the fullest. It was also amazing to get to know some super friendly Year 8 girls and have a good chat.
