A warm welcome to The Glennie School Foundation's newest Director.
The Glennie School Foundation promotes philanthropy, fellowship and communication through social and business networking opportunities to support the aims of the School. Funds raised by the Foundation are donated to the School to assist with facilities, resources and scholarships
Foundation Directors are volunteers, donors, parents, past parents and friends of Glennie, all of whom seek to assist by financially supporting School projects.
Meet Foundation Director: Kirstin Ferguson
My name is: Kirstin Ferguson
My occupation is: Office Manager
My family members are: Daryl, Piper, Keeleigh and Hamish
What is your connection with Glennie? I am a Glennie Old Girl (1986-1990) and my daughters are the fourth generation of our family to go to Glennie. My father was baptised at Glennie, my grandmother was president of the Glennie Old Girls' Association and married in the Glennie chapel. I also have a sister and aunts who all boarded at Glennie.
What do you find most rewarding about being a Foundation Director? The opportunity to be part of making a difference and give back to a school that has given our family so much.
Why do you think philanthropy is important? I think philanthropy is an important example for our children of giving back to society for the betterment of communities.
What is your favourite food? Grilled salmon
What did you want to be when you grew up? An accountant
