Macbeth And Lady Macbeth On Trial For Murder

On Tuesday, 11 August the Year 12 English classes, in preparation for their external exam, put Macbeth and Lady Macbeth on trial for the crimes of murder, accessory to murder and high treason in the Manning Court House. The Judges presiding over and delivering the verdict on this case were The Right Honourable Mrs Knight, and The Right (and less) Honourable Mrs Salomon. Both Prosecution and Defence Attornies for Macbeth and Lady Macbeth collated and interrogated evidence in their statements, called witnesses to the stand and delivered insightful and well-formulated arguments. Verdicts were delivered at the end of each round, however, upon conclusion of the proceedings, the unanimous decision was that Alice Dent, Laura Hunt, Ellie Fitzgibbons, Larissa Davies and Eliza Sargent were the overall victors.

Well done to everyone involved!
