As part of the belated Harmony Day celebrations held on Thursday, 10 June, two of our Year 12 students with Japanese heritage chose to don traditional Japanese dress.
Hana brought in a black, gold, and red kimono, on loan from her mother, Jun. Mia wore a black, purple, and white yukata, which is often referred to as a "summer kimono". It is typically worn in summer as it is made from a light cotton fabric. I'm sure you will agree that both girls look subarashii (magnificent) in their cultural dress!
