Glennie Interact Committee members and members from across the grades enjoyed a day of fun whilst assisting with the Pig Races at the Glennie Fair.
A set of brindle, black and pink piggies racing around an obstacle course brought much laughter to the Interact members and Fair goers alike. There were four races over the day and ticket sales were brisk as Fair attendees gave generously and entered the competition with enthusiasm. The piggies wore brightly sparkling racing jackets, sometimes the red piggy had the edge, to be overtaken by a fleet-of-trotter blue or gold-suited piglet, as they met the challenges of the obstacle course and were spurred on by the cheers of the small children and their families in the crowd.
The Glennie Interact Committee would like to sincerely thank all students who assisted and all patrons who supported the Pig Races. Special thanks goes to the winning ticket families who donated the proceeds of their win back to Drought Angels.
