I Love Glennie Schooling - Junior Years

Throughout last week the Junior Years teachers have been providing a remote teaching and learning experience. This has provided parents and girls from Kindergarten to Year 6 the teaching and learning sequence for every learning area, including specialist lessons.

On Monday, we will provide the I Love Glennie Schooling virtual landing page, which will provide tips for working, keeping active, staying connected as a community and wellbeing. The curriculum learning will continue to be available through the Portal and the emailed link.

This is a whole-school approach to remote learning and the development of this is two-fold:

  • to ensure staff, students and parents are able to deliver and receive the best remote teaching and learning experience possible, which continues to encapsulate the heart of a Glennie education:
    • anchored in relationships
    • reflecting our values of participation, connection and belonging
    • valuing process over product
    • learning experiences that are personalised, authentic and meaningful
    • time for fun, humour, joy and play
  • to prioritise mental health and wellbeing during this period of remote schooling by ensuring students, staff and parents remain connected to each other and the school community

Mrs Harris, Mrs Roper and teachers will be in contact via regular communication channels.  Teachers will be available and contactable during the school day. Please do not hesitate to contact Junior Years staff through the Junior Years administration office on 4688 8837 or email

I want to sincerely thank our parents for your continued support and your kindness shown during this challenging time. I want to reassure our community that we are in this together. Remote learning is a teaching option that has been developed very quickly from a team of dedicated teachers who desperately want this to provide quality learning experiences for our students while demonstrating our continued love and care.

Mrs Kate Harris
Head of Junior Years
