Glennie Glows On Ribbon Day

The Donaldson House committee and Chapel committee members, guided by Mrs Susan Rollason and Rev’d Sharon Mitchell, hosted another stellar ‘Ribbon Day’ to raise much-needed funds for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation.  Students plucked the brightest clothing out of their wardrobes to dazzle us with every colour under the rainbow.  It was mesmerizing to see the sea of colour flowing throughout the School all day.

Morning tea and lunchtime did not disappoint with a number of delicious savoury and sweet treat stalls operating with queues of students and staff satisfied with their purchases.

Local singer, Mason Watts, celebrated his birthday in style as part of the day’s festivities by entertaining students and staff with a chilled concert on the oval’s edge.  He sang some of his latest songs including ‘Recovery’ which had the girls motivated to join in at chorus time.  A unique Polaroid-capturing experience and photo opportunity at the end put smiles on quite a few of our students' faces.  Something to treasure for quite some time. You have no shortage of fans at Glennie, Mason.  We thank Amelia Lees and Taylor Steinmuller for making our special guest comfortable and attending to his audio requirements and for her unofficial security detail duties performed by Mrs Susan Watts on the day.

An impressive multi-draw raffle prize pool had everyone clambering to purchase tickets with some very happy students and staff practically running to collect their prizes at the conclusion of the day.

We kindly thank our generous raffle prize donors:
