Glennie girls face District Court Judge

On Tuesday,  the Year 10 Legal studies group along with Ms Lee visited the Toowoomba City Courthouse. After arriving, everyone was directed to the District Courtroom.  It was exciting being able to experience the thrills and chills of the thrust and parry of the legal arguments between defence and the prosecution whilst being exposed to the customs and procedures of active courtroom drama.

The girls had the opportunity to have their questions answered by Judge Nathan Jarro and his associate once the court had ended. After that, the class was able to observe a few Magistrate Court cases. Thank you, Ms Lee, for allowing the Year 10 Legal studies group a chance to partake in this valuable experience.

Magistrate Kay Ryan also spent significant time chatting to us about her role at the Courthouse.
