From the Head Of Tufnell House 1 April 2021

Tufnell welcomed 19 new little dragons to our families at the beginning of Term 1 in Year 7. We also welcomed new girls across our other year levels as well as a couple of new teachers. Our Tufnell Family is well and truly growing and with that comes the opportunity to make new friends and have lots of fun.

Our Senior Tufnell Committee has been extremely busy in making everyone feel welcome, and started the year off with our traditional guard of honour for our new Tufnell additions. Christy Douglas and Olivia Smith have done an exceptional job in leading the girls and have been capably supported by our valuable committee comprising Lily Rowe, Julia Little, Emily Webster and Jo Jo Crothers. The team have established new Tufnell families and have been working hard behind the scenes on our very "Secret Tufnell Business". We've brightened up our House areas at carnivals with some spectacular new bunting made by Mrs Douglas.  We really do paint the town red now! Thank you Mrs Douglas for this contribution!

We have had some fantastic highlights this term including strong performances at our Swimming Carnival and then the incredible team performance at the Cross Country Carnival resulting in a well-deserved win for Tufnell. We proved that "The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team" - Phil Jackson

There is a lot to look forward to in Term 2 from a Tufnell perspective and House time will see new challenges and more connections across our year levels.

On behalf of the Tufnell Committee and myself, I wish you a safe and happy Easter and look forward to your return after the break.
