Boarding 2021 has commenced at quite a pace with the School welcoming many new families this year. Our boarder orientation went well with the families getting to know one another and hearing from our wonderful Boarder Parent Reps. The girls settled in on Australia Day and enjoyed a pool party on their first night.
Last weekend was a closed weekend which saw our boarding community head off to Mount Tamborine for an overnight retreat. The girls spent time getting to know their family tables and enjoyed activities in the afternoon, followed by games after dinner and a chat around the campfire. Sunday was a great day as we headed off to Southport to enjoy time at the Aqua Park. All-round it was a lovely way to spend time getting to know one another.
On Monday evening our boarder's chapel was a time to commission our new students into the Glennie family. The table mums called their daughters to the altar where they lit a candle together to symbolise their new connections to the School and each other. Our Year 12 students are doing a wonderful job of looking out for the new girls.
