This week we held our Founder's Day Eucharist and it was wonderful to have the whole school, Prep to Year 12, together to celebrate the beginning of our school. Through prayer and song, the community spirit was tangible and as technology failed the girls banded together and sang with joy and animation without missing a beat.
This week celebrates the history of the school and past students join together to reminisce and rekindle old friendships at the official GOGA reunion weekend. It makes me think about our current girls and what they will talk about at their reunions in the future. I hope they will remember that during their time at Glennie, they established the qualities they value, learned how to treat people and their environment respectfully and leave with an understanding of what they have to offer to the world. I hope they leave school feeling a sense of belonging and connection to the Glennie community.
It was my great pleasure to congratulate Semester 1 award recipients yesterday and as always, the girls carried themselves with grace and accepted their awards with joy and humility. Congratulations to all of those girls.
