The naming of the Performing Arts Centre in honour of Wendy Ashley-Cooper and the celebration of Founder’s Day allow us to focus on the role that performance has played throughout Glennie’s history across generations of students. Performance has always been at the heart of a Glennie education and the Glennie community and brings alive the values of friendship, cheerfulness, compassion, respect for each other and a willingness to participate and have fun.
These photos of students performing in a variety of plays date from the 1940s and the students certainly seem to be enjoying dressing up and performing in a variety of roles.
