Children and adolescents of today are feeling pressured. They are exposed to constant information and, unlike when we were young, see social media and hand-held devices as part of their everyday lives. So what does it take to raise and educate our children so that they are amazing contributors to their world and feel content and fulfilled? How can we best prepare them for the future, considering the large amount of change that is predicted?
I have been listening to a podcast series presented by Nick Burnett and Tony Ryan, discussing Georgie's Future. It focusses on a fictitious 12-year-old girl and offers practical insights for educators and parents. The series discusses what life is like now, and what we can do to assist our young people to lead a more fulfilling future. It is well worth a listen!
I love Tony's positive outlook about the future and how he takes the fear out of what the world might look like. There are exciting times ahead for our girls.
