Glennie girls participated in the Education Perfect QLD Languages Championships held from 4-11 June 2019. The competition was fierce, especially between the Junior Years classes.
At various times throughout the competition, Glennie was coming first for French in Queensland. Once all of the results were tallied, Glennie came second for French behind Glasshouse Christian College out of 138 schools.
Thirty-three awards were gained in total: 3 Emerald (5000 points), 4 Gold (3000 points), 1 Silver (2000 points), 9 Bronze (1000 points) and 16 Credits (500 points). Our Junior Years girls secured 28 of these awards).
Special congratulations to Lily McGinn in 5O'Shane who came seventh in Queensland; Year 9 student, Emma Anderson who came ninth; and Year 6 student, Louise Anderson who came nineteenth.
