The Glennie School has been spectacularly represented at the Toowoomba Eisteddfod this year. We were competitive contenders in the Secondary Orchestra Section, A Grade Strings, A Grade Concert Band, A Grade Stage Band Primary String Ensemble and Primary Small String Ensemble. These results speak for themselves as to the depth of our Performing Arts program and opportunities for your daughter at Glennie in Performing Arts. Well done girls - we enjoy working with you each day and are very proud of your work.
We will publish the results for Dance, Speech and Drama and all solo and duet performances in our eNews article next week once these official results have been released.

We also congratulate the Youth Jazz Band conducted by Ms Janelle Fletcher who performed very well in the ‘Secondary B Grade Stage Band’ section. The Middle and Senior Years Concert Band performed spectacularly in the ‘Secondary A Grade Concert Band’ section and well done to the Adelphi Strings conducted by Mrs Vicki Bravery who performed in the ‘Secondary School String Ensemble’ section. Congratulations Hannah Waterfall (Year 10) announced Runner Up on French Horn in the ‘Brass Championship Solo’ section.
Miss Lucy Panitz's Year 7 Jazz Dance girls will perform at the Dance Eisteddfod in Section 800: Year 9 and under Jazz/Uptempo Modern Group tonight at 5:30pm. The girls are so excited as it is Glennie's first dance eisteddfod experience.
Also performing on the night is the Years 7 to12 Dance Troupe under the guidance of Mrs Lauren Budden. They have been entered into the ‘Contemporary Dance’ section. The beautiful choreography was created by last year's Dance Captain, Miss Anthea Jones.
